City Year has now entered a period of rolling admission where we will continue to accept applications at each of our 24 locations until we have filled all of our slots. Even though most seniors have been accepted to college, I am sure you are still encountering some who don’t have plans yet, so I would appreciate your help in sharing our rolling admissions blurb below. We are especially interested in applicants willing to serve their local communities of NYC, Providence RI and Manchester NH.

Do you want to do something meaningful after graduation?

Have you considered a year of service and leadership development before college?

Are you ready to change to the world with City Year?

City Year is a nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world. As tutors, mentors and role models, these diverse young leaders make a difference in the lives of children and transform schools and neighborhoods. City Year is a proud member of AmeriCorps. Our alumni earn money for college and pursue degrees at some of the nation’s top universities.

At City Year’s 24 locations across the United States, corps members serve full-time for 10 months, starting in August. Corps members serve in schools as tutors, mentors, role models and leaders of after-school programs. As a City Year corps member, you will help students stay on track and get back on track to graduate by helping them improve course performance, attendance and behavior.
