FAFSA Completion Nights at the YMCA

January 1st marked not only the beginning of a new year but also the opportunity for our students to complete one more step on their road to college. Every January 1st the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available for the following academic year. As many of you know firsthand, to get any financial aid from the federal government and often even private aid like scholarships from the college and universities themselves, students have to fill out the FAFSA. This year the YMCA of Greater NY will be hosting 13 FAFSA Completion nights throughout the city along with support from the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) and volunteers from Bank of America, some of which are specifically for our program participants and others that are open to any and all teens and parents that need help completing this integral piece of the college access puzzle.

Below is a list of the 6 FAFSA Completion nights, that are open to the public throughout the city. Please pass along this information to your students and program participants. There is no preregistration required, they can just show up at the date and time, ready to get some help.
