cIcu’s College Connections Newsletter

Attached is the newly released winter 2015 College Connections newsletter. College Connections is a free newsletter for counselors, students, and parents. This edition provides articles on FAFSA completion, summer programs at independent colleges and universities in New York State, resources about paying for college, and more.

This and past editions of College Connections are also available for download as PDF documents from the “Get More Resources” tab on cIcu’s Admissions and Financial Aid Outreach Web site, www.nycolleges.org. The “Get More Resources” tab contains several resources chock full of information for your students and their families about New York State’s 100+ private independent colleges and universities – information about the wonderful opportunities for study, the financial aid process, admissions, and college transition. These resources, Your College Search, Affording College (and its Spanish equivalent), and College Quick Tips are all available for free download.

If you have not yet placed an order for copies of our 2015 edition of Your College Search, we recommend that you do so now. Your College Search, published annually, provides information about the 100+ private independent colleges and universities in New York State and highlights the myriad academic programs they offer. The 2015 edition of Your College Search will be released in May 2015. To order copies of the 2014 edition and/or to pre-order the 2015 edition, complete our online form at www.surveymonkey.com/s/YourCollegeSearch.

To meet our grant deliverables, we need your feedback on our resources. Below is a link to our short online evaluation form. Please take a moment to fill it out as your comments and suggestions will help us to make future resources and publications more helpful for you, your students and their families – https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cIcuOutreachFeedback. Thank you for your help!
